Minimalist - stoicism way to speak little and well

Let silence be your goal for the most part; say only what is necessary, and be brief about it. On the rare occasions when you’re called upon to speak, then speak, but never about banalities like gladiators, horses, sports, food and drink – common-place stuff. Above all don’t gossip about people, praising, blaming or comparing them. (Enchiridion XXXIII.2)

A mere mortal like me used to say a lot and much useless things. Many moons ago I speak lesser on the ills of others thinking thinking that how am I to judge someone when I have many flaws to fix my own.
Being minimalist helps in choosing what speech is of values to others. Somethings to be avoided in parts of speech
1) politics
2) religion
3) gossips
4) judging others

Some things that can be spoken
1) Family
2) Occupation
3) Recreation
4) Dreams

In the stoic practices, avoid speaking about
1) gladiator - movie stars for instance
2) horses - cars I presume
3) sports - Gosh even Football
4) food and drink- because food is only to nourish our body
5) common place staffs
Those are empty things, of trivial stuff

I realise that sometimes I just enjoy a company of Friend in silence. Appreciate the moment that I am still alive to enjoy a cup of coffee with a company.
